Sir Legacy Lookbook 2013

I’m consolidating drives and moving some files to the cloud when I came across this shoot with Sir Legacy from February 2013, and I realized I hadn’t blogged about this awesome in home session. Sir Legacy and I worked a menial job together for a while before we both realized that we’re deep into the fashion business. So one day after work we decided to grab a few models and shoot a simple yet professional lookbook in my home studio. He brought his whole team consisting of JaQuanne to hair stylist Jahkeah and a makeup artists which forgive me I cannot recall her name… along with 3 models Nadirah, Turquoise and Mari and to ton of outfits.

We kept things simple in my home studio hair and makeup started at 4am and then the stylist picked the pieces to be featured and we met at 11am. We shot so many amazing pieces and the models were simply beautiful in them. I opted to shoot with a white background and two AB800 with softboxes, my camera of choice was my trusty Nikon D800 and everything being triggered with 3 pocket wizard Plus II’s. Gosh this was a great and productive day, we accomplished a lot and I gained one of my favorite muse’s through this session.

I worked with and met Turquoise Marie on a prior shoot and definitely wanted to work with her again. This was my first official meeting and photographing Nadirah Aaliyah and she was great to work with, especially with her bubbly personality. It was my 1st time working with Mari although I met her prior through her sister who’s maternity photos I shot a few years back. Sir Legacy’s founder and designer Sheltop is a long time friend and it was an honor to work with him to bring his vision to light. Talk about a dedicated to work individual and you have Sheltop.

This brother brought enough garments we could have setup shop and started a boutique right in the studio. The amount of passion and details he puts into his work is nothing less than incredible, and this is after only 3 years in the biz. In that short time he’s displayed his designs at NYFW and is currently developing a look book to shop around to have his line carried globally. Sir Legacy is definitely on the rise and you should definitely keep an eye out for them.

I must say the shoot went great and we had a blast, especially when Nadirah fumbled through her interview with Sir Legacy. You can see that blooper below.
